2020 model Dell Inspiron 14” HD laptop has the mid-range specs at an entry level price, including a non-touch high definition display, tenth generation advanced Intel i5-1035G7 processor, adequate amounts of memory (8GB) and Solid State Drive (256GB), Intel Iris Plus G7 graphics card and Windows 10 in S Mode.

The 14-inch Dell Inspiron comes with the HESVAP accessories that you see in the product photos at Amazon, a USB extension cord, an HDMI cable and a mouse pad, which cost roughly 40 dollars if you purchased separately. The tenth generation quad core Intel i5-1035G7 processor (6MB cache) runs at speeds between 1.2GHz and 3.7GHz with the turbo boost function, depending on what the tasks at hand require. It has an impressive Passmark benchmark score of 10030 on the day of this product review, as a high-end processor with advanced performance in a variety of tasks.

8GB DDR4 SDRAM has adequate high bandwidth and will let the user run some apps and browsers on at the same time and multitask efficiently and smoothly, also helped by the powerful i5 processor. 256GB SSD is average size of local storage for a fast laptop at this price level, but is sufficient for most users and offers lots of speed with advanced communication power that you will feel in pretty much everything you do on the computer. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed on this machine in S mode and you can easily switch out of it into the regular Win 10 through the Windows Store with a simple installation via Start, Settings, Update & Security and Activation.

14-inch HD non-touch anti-glare LED-backlit display has the 1366 x 768 pixel resolution for an acceptable picture quality. The built-in graphics card is the Intel Iris Plus G7 (no dedicated eDRAM cache like the Iris 655) that is much faster than its predecessors with a benchmark score of around 1700 at the time of this product review. It performs like an entry level dedicated GPU, a bit like the NVIDIA MX150 and you can play the easier games like the Rocket League and Fortnite comfortably. There is a HD webcam for your Skype chats and taking photos and dual speakers that offer adequate sound quality.

Dell Inspiron 14″ Laptop weighs only 3.68 pounds and measures 13.3 x 9.5 x 0.8 inches- is only 0.8” thick. Connectivity options include the 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth, an RJ5 Ethernet, an HDMI output, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, a Multi-Format Digital Media Card Reader, and a combo Headphone-Out/Microphone-In Jack. The Typical Thermal Design Power- TDP is 15 watts and you can expect roughly 6-7 hours of battery life from the 3-Cell 42WHr lithium ion battery. This is an upgraded version of the normal Inspiron 14” and the box was opened for testing and inspection and the upgrades got installed to offer you the technical specs that you see on the product page.
