2020 HP ProBook X360 G3 11.6″ Touchscreen 2-in-1 Laptop
2020 Newest HP ProBook X360 G3 is an 11.6-inch convertible 2-in-1 laptop with a touch display, the mid-range Intel Celeron N4100 processor, 128GB Solid State Drive, 4GB DDR4 memory and Windows 10 Pro version. It also comes with a built-in webcam and the NexiGo’s 2.4GHz wireless mouse bundle.
You can purchase this 2-in-1 machine with different size SSD storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB. Please note that the seal on the laptop is opened just for upgrades. The quarter 2 of 2018 release Intel Celeron N4100 is a mid-range quad core processor (4MB cache, 4 cores) at a base speed of 1.10GHz and a turbo max speed of 2.4GHz. It has a Passmark benchmark score of 2528 on the day of this product review. It is suitable for basic daily tasks and mid-range multitasking. Performance of the N4100 is superior to some of the other Celeron processors we have seen so far.
It has the 200MHz higher boost clock and an updated architecture and acts more like the Pentium N4200. Everything you do on this laptop on a daily basis will feel smooth and responsive with the smart system accelerator learning from your daily laptop use. Some of the 128GB SSD will be occupied by the Windows 10 system and you should have around 100GB left for saving your regular or media files on the local storage. It is not a lot but you can add more or save your important files on the Cloud and access them wherever you have internet access. 4GB DDR4 RAM is fine at this price level for a business notebook and will offer adequate multitasking power.
11.6-inch diagonal high definition touch display has the 1366×768 pixel resolution and TN panel. The built-in graphics card for the Celeron N4100 is the Intel UHD 600 with a videocard benchmark score of 296. The performance of the UHD 600 graphics is more or less equal to the previous generation Intel HD 500 graphics. You can’t play any of the latest modern and demanding games even at the lower settings, but you’ll be fine with the less demanding titles. HP ProBook X360 weighs just 3.17 pounds and measures 11.8 x 8.1 x 0.8 inches- is very compact and portable.
The wireless mouse included works on a AA battery that is not included in the box. Keyboard is not backlit and there is no optical drive on this machine. But it is easy to connect an external drive via one of the USB ports or Bluetooth. Connectivity options include the 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.2, RJ-45 connector, a USB Type-C port, 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI output, and a headphone/microphone combo jack. The typical Thermal Design Power is 6 watts on this CPU to help with the longer battery life. The 3-cell 48WHr lithium ion battery will last up to 11.5 hours at low light settings and performing less demanding tasks. In practice the battery lasts more than 10 hours fully charged. It is a solid and durable convertible ProBook with user-friendly features. It is good for student, business or daily use.
