ASUS Chromebook Flip C434TA-DSM4T is a number one new release, all metal 2-in-1 laptop with a 14-inch touch four way NanoEdge Full HD display with very thin- 5mm bezels. It is rated 4.4 out of 5 stars by 4 customers at the time of this review with generally positive reviews on different websites.

The Asus Chromebook has a fast and efficient Intel Core M3-8100Y processor with up to 3.4GHz speed, 4GB RAM for adequate multitasking, 64GB hybrid drive eMMC Storage with 10000 RPM rotating speed and Chrome operating system. The body is all metal and the keyboard is backlit and very bright. 14-inch FHD touch display has a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and has very thin bezels that measure only 5mm. So the body of this computer is basically 13 inches, but the display is 14 inches.

It has a sturdy ErgoLift hinge that rotates smoothly- 360 degrees for this laptop to be used in different modes- tablet, stand and tent. It moves smoothly and stays at any angle. You can expect very quick and snappy performance from the Intel M3-8100Y processor. It can handle many apps and tabs simultaneously, with also the help of the modern 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. The connectivity options include two USB Type-C (Gen 1) ports that support display-out and Power delivery, a USB Type-A (Gen 1) port, a microSD slot and 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless.

The precision crafted all aluminum metal body of this laptop is only 0.6 inches thick- measures 12.6 x 8 x 0.6 inches and weighs 3.3 pounds and looks and feels premium. Google’s Chrome operating system includes integrated protection from malicious attacks and has regular updates without you doing anything manually. It is designed to work just like the Chrome browser as most tasks and apps on Chrome OS are online and on the browser. It is suitable for people that use the computer mainly for the internet, which is the case for most of us. The Chrome OS and this machine boots up and shuts down very swiftly in just seconds and runs generally very fast for most tasks.

You may be already familiar with the Google applications that you can edit and convert your Office files, documents, sheets etc. There are many apps, games, music, videos and more on the Google Play Store. You have your offline built-in storage as well as the extra online storage space of 100GB on Google Drive to back up all your files or when you need the extra storage space. You can expect up to ten hours of battery life in normal use from this compact laptop’s lithium polymer battery, which is especially good when you’re out and about and on the go. The touchpad is quite large for a mini laptop and has the convenient palm-rejection and multi-touch gesture support.

The keyboard has a 1.4mm key travel for easier typing if you have larger fingers. The high-fidelity audio- sound quality is pretty good from the double stereo speakers and big resonant chambers for an immersive sound experience for sound and video. It has the built-in Intel HD Graphics 615 that is sufficient for anything other than playing games and video editing. Please note that this machine supports Linux on Chrome and Android apps. The 4GB RAM is soldered to the main board and there aren’t any open slots. For those wanting to support the Stylus pen this machine does not support it. For the super narrow bezels, 360-degree rotation, FHD resolution, bright backlit keyboard, expensive feel, lack of virus attacks, ease of use, efficient operating system, versatility and flexibility, the price seems affordable.
