ASUS Q Series 13.3″ FHD Flagship 2-in-1 Laptop

The Q series ASUS 2-in-1 reviewed on this page is the upgraded version, premium flagship 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen laptop with a 360-degree flip and fold design. It is upgraded with some high-end specs that will help the user handle some heavy tasks and perform quickly with twice the RAM, fast Solid State Drive instead of the 1TB mechanical drive and a newer generation processor.

The Kaby Lake Intel i5-7200U is a dual core ultra low voltage processor with 3MB cache at speeds between 2.5 and 3.1GHz with turbo boost. It has a Passmark benchmark score of 4607 which puts it in the upper mid-range category. But performance-wise it is similar to the Skylake generation in terms of performance per MHz, only a little better. This dual core CPU has the hyper-threading feature that works with up to four cores simultaneously. It comes with the 12GB DDR4 SDRAM memory for greater multitasking power to handle several tasks at the same time without lagging or freezing. The 480GB SSD storage is both good size and lets you open the files and turn on and off the computer much faster.

The operating system is the latest Windows 10 Home 64-bit with a user-friendly interface that most users are happy with and the built-in security features and updates. This convertible laptop was professionally upgraded with the specs mentioned by the engineers for inspection and testing. And there will be minimal amount of marks or scratches and no defects. The 13.3-inch widescreen Full HD LED-backlit display has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and the convenient touch functionality. This is not a gaming machine and does not come with a dedicated graphics card but the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520.

Connectivity options include the 802.11 ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.1, a USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, an HDMI output and a built-in media reader. There is no optical drive on this 2-in-1 just like most of the brand new models.The location of the power button is not the best as it can be turned off easily during use, especially if you’re left-handed. But you can disable the power button in the computer settings. Keyboard is backlit for you to type easily in the dark or dim light. Silver Asus Q304 2-in-1 Laptop weighs 3.31 pounds and measures 12.7 x 8.9 x 0.8 inches.

It is lightweight and compact in size and you can take it anywhere you want easily. And it has a 3-cell lithium polymer battery that lasts up to 10 hours, depending on use. You can expect between 6 to 9 hours in practice, from light to heavy use. Overall it seems to be very much worth the price, with a high quality Full HD display with the responsive touch functionality, ability to use the screen in different modes, powerful processor, large memory and SSD, decent connectivity options, slim and lightweight chassis and modern and ergonomic design.
