AWOW VT11 2-in-1 Convertible 11.6″ Laptop

AWOW VT11 is a 2-in-1 convertible, compact and portable laptop with an 11.6-inch FHD touch display around a 360-degree rotating hinge, entry level Intel Celeron N3450 processor, 256GB eMMC flash Solid State Drive, 8GB LPDDR4 memory, Windows 10 in S mode and decent connectivity including 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth and USB Type-C port.

The quarter 4 of 2016 release quad core Intel Celeron N3450 at the 1.1GHz and 2.2GHz speeds with the turbo boost function is not the fastest computer processor out there with an average CPU Passmark benchmark score of 1924. It is up to 20% faster than the older Braswell N3710 processor and is roughly at the same level as the AMD A4-7210. It offers enough performance for your daily tasks as well as moderate multitasking power. And the 8GB LPDDR4 memory and the quicker than normal eMMC flash storage will help improve the overall performance.

You can’t expect to play the modern games or do multimedia editing on this little machine but you can comfortably perform your general daily tasks for work and entertainment. You can watch videos on YouTube or movies on Netflix, play the not so demanding games, type up documents, do your spreadsheets, check your Facebook, Twitter accounts and more. And you will feel it running smoothly without delays or freezing if you don’t push it too hard. 8GB memory is a good amount for above average multitasking at this level and having an eMMC flash storage rather than a regular HDD SATA drive will help you open the files faster.

Windows 10 in S mode is preinstalled on this 2-in-1 laptop and has the added security and performance as it lets you download only the apps from the Microsoft store and only the Microsoft Edge can be used for web browsing, not Chrome or others. You can switch to the Windows Home version easily through the Start menu and Microsoft store free of charge. But once you’ve done this, you can’t go back to the S mode. The typical TDP- Thermal Design Power of 6 watts helps with a longer battery life from the 5000mAh/7.4V battery of around 6-7 hours in practice in normal use.

11.6-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, vibrant colors and good contrast and 178-degree clear viewing angles vertically and horizontally when you’re browsing the internet or watching videos. You can use it in different modes of tablet, laptop, tent, stand or at other angles in between, with its 360-degree Flip and Fold design. Intel HD 500 Apollo Lake is the built-in graphics card on the Celeron processor and offers the same performance as the older Braswell HD graphics. And you can play the older game titles like the Diablo 3 or Strike: GO.

AWOW VT11 2-in-1 Laptop weighs 3.08 pounds and measures 11.42 x 8.27 x 0.59 inches. There is no optical DVD Drive and the connectivity options include 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 5, Ethernet LAN port, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a micro HDMI 1.4 output, Media Card Reader, a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and power button. The 8GB RAM can’t be upgraded if you need it to get upgraded at all. It is best that you don’t attempt to disassemble the laptop unless you’re an expert.
