The high bandwidth 16GB DDR4 SDRAM at 3200MHz on dual channels is quite a generous amount of memory for a decent multitasking power. 256GB M.2 NVMe Solid State Drive makes the system run very fast and offers good storage space if you don’t have many games or videos to save.
Lenovo Flex 5 has the built-in Vega 6 graphics card that shares the memory with the processor. With a video card benchmark score of 1131, the overall performance level is somewhere between the dedicated NVIDIA MX230 and MX150 GPU’s. It is soft and feels comfy to touch with a solid paint for an enhanced experience. With a convertible and flexible design it is very comfortable and easy to use in different modes. You can rotate the narrow bezel display around its 360-degree hinge and use it in laptop, tent, stand or tablet modes. It has both the backlit keyboard and the fingerprint reader.Comparing it with the last year’s Flex 14 with 3500U processor, Vega 6 is about 25% slower than Vega 8, but the 4500U is much faster and you have 16GB memory and a slightly more premium chassis. At the current price level it seems to be very good value for the dollar.
