Acer Spin 713 13.5″ 2K VertiView Convertible Touchscreen Chromebook Review
Acer Spin 713 13.5″ 2K VertiView Convertible Chromebook
Acer Spin 713 is a modern Chromebook with a 2-in-1 convertible 13.5-inch 2K VertiView touch display, powerful Intel i5-10210U processor, 128GB Solid State Drive, 8GB DDR4 memory, Google Chrome operating system, backlit keyboard, HD webcam and good connectivity options and it comes with the mazepoly accessories.
The quarter two of 2019 release tenth generation quad core ultra low voltage Intel i5-10210U processor (6M cache, 4 cores & 8 threads with hyperthreading) works at the speeds between 1.6GHz and 4.2GHz with the turbo boost function. The typical Thermal Design Power- TDP is 15 watts and the battery life is up to 10 hours in practice from its 3-cell lithium ion battery. The average CPU Passmark benchmark score of 6484 offers an advanced processing power to handle both the daily and demanding tasks.
128GB Solid State Drive is not a lot for storage space but more than adequate for an average person’s daily computing needs and offers plenty of speed that you’ll feel when opening files, starting or shutting down the computer. 8GB DDR4 SDRAM memory is quite a generous amount for multitasking efficiently without problems. Google Chrome operating system comes pre-installed on this laptop, feels like using Chrome browser, has many useful online and offline apps and updates itself regularly in the background and is not prone to many harmful virus attacks.
13.5-inch LED-backlit touchscreen Vertiview widescreen has the 2K (2256 x 1504-pixels) resolution and IPS panel for the 178-degree viewing angles. It has a convertible display that rotates 360 degrees and you can use it comfortably in places with limited space. You can share your screen, use it for your presentations, for watching movies and more in laptop, tablet, stand, tent and anything in between. Slate gray Acer Spin 713 weighs 3.20 pounds and measures 9.3 x 0.66 x 11.8 inches and with its compact size you can take it wherever you go easily.
The built-in Intel UHD 620 is the same as the previous generation and is good enough for daily use, watching and streaming videos, browsing the internet and playing all the Chrome games. The videocard benchmark score is 1046 and the performance level is somewhere between a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 910M and 920M. You can play the simple games like Rocket League or Team Fortress 2 if this was a Windows machine but you’re fine with the Chrome games.
The sound quality through the two stereo speakers is decent for a compact Chromebook. You can type, study and play comfortably in the dark or dim light on its backlit keyboard. Connectivity options include the WiFi 6 802.11ax wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB 3.0 port, 2 x USB Type-C ports (up to 5Gbps data transfer, fast charging and Display Port via USB-C), an HDMI output and a Microphone-in/headphone-out combo jack. The authorized mazepoly bundle includes a mouse pad, a cleaning cloth, an HDMI cable and an extension cord.
