HP Spectre X360 13TGEMCUT is a brand new release 2019 model 13.3-inch touchscreen laptop and tablet in one with a cutting edge gem cut design, high end specs, quad Bang & Olufsen Speakers, good connectivity and long battery life as well as the McAfee internet security for three years.
With its convertible design, you can change it to the tablet, tent and display modes in just a matter of seconds. The 8th generation Intel i7-8565U (8MB smart cache) is a quad core processor for very efficient performance at speeds between 1.8GHz up to 4GHz with Intel turbo boost. It has a Passmark benchmark score of 8926 as a high end CPU to handle a variety of advanced tasks.
16GB DDR3 SDRAM offers the multitasking power most users would need to have several browsers and apps running at the same time without any lagging or freezing. 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive is great for both storage size and great speed- snappy overall performance- opening files, starting the machine etc. Computer already starts and shuts down much faster on the Windows 10 than the previous operating systems. The Win 10 Home 64-bit version comes pre-installed on this machine.
Connectivity options include the 802.11ac wireless and Bluetooth 5 combo, USB 3.1 Type A, 2 x USB-C ports, an HDMI output, Thunderbolt support, an SD Card Reader and HD Active Stylus Pen. The built-in graphics card on this processor is the Intel UHD Graphics 620 with a video card benchmark score of 1060 for decent daily media performance at somewhere between NVIDIA GeForce 910M and 920M dedicated graphics cards. You can play the less demanding casual games like Rocket League and Team Fortress 2 at reduced settings and resolutions.
The sound quality is quite good through the quad Bang & Olufsen speakers, and with the HP Audio Boost. The 13.3-inch diagonal Full HD micro-edge WLED-backlit touch display has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution for great clarity with vibrant colors. The panel is IPS with wide viewing angles. Sound and picture quality is awesome on this brand new HP X360. Laptopmag.com stated that this is their favorite high end convertible laptop on the market, with a beautiful design, high performance and long battery life. There are other computer magazines and websites rate it as the best 13-inch convertible laptop.
The dark ash silver 13.3″ diagonal HP Spectre X360 weighs only 2.8 pounds and is only 0.57 inches thick- it is super thin. You get all the performance and speed in a lightweight, slim and portable package. Battery life is around 8 hours on average from its lithium ion battery but will depend on the tasks you use the laptop for. With the HP Fast Charge you can charge up to 50% in half an hour.
This model does not have a privacy screen but the one with privacy and Windows 10 Pro upgrade is also offered via the Amazon product page. The power source used by the computer is universal 110-220V with the US power plug. There is an HDMI output that you can use to connect directly to your TV or an external display, so no need to get a USB-C to HDMI dongle. The keyboard has the US Qwerty layout as the laptop is sold on Amazon US. You can draw or do digital art by using the different pressures on the Stylus pen. The fingerprint recognition sensor is not very fast and the trackpad is not the best but they still do the job. According to a few reviewers online it performs better overall than Macbooks. It is not cheap but is a very decent laptop with a sturdy construction and THE high-end features for the price.
