Royal blue Asus ZenBook UX534FT-DB77 is a high end 15.6-inch Full HD screen ultra slim, ultra compact and ultra lightweight laptop with the 4-way nano edge bezels, eight generation Intel i7 processor, large amounts of RAM and Solid State Drive for lots of multitasking power and speed, GTX 1650 graphics card, Windows 10 Pro version, and an innovative screenpad 2.0.

The 8th generation quad core Intel i7-8565U (6MB cache) processor runs at speeds from 1.8GHz up to 4.6GHz with turbo boost. It runs four cores and eight threads in parallel and has a Passmark benchmark score of 8953 as a high-end processor and performs better than the previous versions. As a power efficient quad-core processor it has the Thermal Design Power- TDP of 15 watts which helps with the lower battery consumption.

16GB LPDDR3 RAM lets you run different browsers and programs at once without any delays or freezing. It is not upgradeable and should be more than enough for most computer users. 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD offers ample storage space and lots more speed than a regular SATA drive. The storage also can not be upgraded. Connectivity options include the gigabit-class 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, an HDMI output, microSD card reader, USB-C 3.1 gen. 2 , USB 3.1 gen 2, USB 3.1 gen 1, DC-in and audio jack. There is no Optical Drive and you can connect an external drive through a USB port if you wish.

15.6 inch wide-view Full HD glossy display has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, HD 4-way NanoEdge bezel and IPS panel with the very large viewing angles and 150 nits of brightness. The picture quality is quite good with high contrast and vivid colors when browsing the internet, streaming movies or playing games. The built-in Intel UHD 620 graphics card is good enough for daily media tasks with the equal performance of NVIDIA 920M dedicated card. It switches to NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 Max-Q discrete graphics card with a videocard benchmark of 7950 when handling the more demanding tasks and advanced gaming at higher settings, resolutions and frame rates per second.

The 5.65-inch touchscreen trackpad is good for giving you more and smarter control over things and the ability to multitask efficiently. The docked Window will be moved smoothly between the screen pad display and the main 15.6″  screen with the application switcher on the screen pad. There is an integrated IR webcam with the Windows Hello sign-in with facial recognition. It is lightweight, sleek, compact and portable with the weight of 3.68 pounds and the dimensions of 13.9 x 8.7 x 0.7 inches. This Zenbook 15.6-inch touch laptop is 12% smaller than the previous generation UX530 thanks to the NanoEdge technology.

Being built to Mil-std 810G military standard it is sturdy, durable and reliable. We like the smartphone type interface that is quite intuitive and user-friendly and will let you manage tasks and multitask smoothly. You’ll get the USB3.0 to RJ45 cable and the carry sleeve included in the box. The Asus ADP program for Accidental Damage Protection for one year is for against damages like electrical surges, liquid spills and drops and should bring you a peace of mind. It is valid for some notebook purchases in Canada and the US and you need to register online within 60 days of your purchase. This computer is not cheap but you’re definitely getting what you pay for.
