HBESTORE PC1068 is a very compact and portable education Windows netbook with a 10.1-inch non-touch screen. You have the beautiful color options of pink, blue, white and black at the same price on the day of this post release. It is probably the lowest priced brand new laptop we have come across for a while.

It is labeled as an education laptop that would work great as a study and learning laptop. The technical specs are quite basic and they’ll just be enough for your daily computer use. You can have a couple of browser tabs and an application open at the same time while listening to music and there shouldn’t be an lagging or freezing. It comes with the quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 32GB eMMC flash storage and Windows 10 operating system.

The entry level Atom X5-Z8350 (4 cores, 4 threads) runs at the speeds between 1.4GHz up to 1.92Ghz and will be adequate for Microsoft Word and Excel, playing songs and Youtube videos and browsing the web. This quarter two of 2016 release processor has a current average CPU Passmark benchmark score of just 922. The 2GB DDR3 memory is the absolute minimum you can have on a modern laptop and again as long as you will not be making it run multiple applications at once, you’ll be fine.

It is slim, compact and lightweight- only 0.59-inch thick (11.57 x 7.87 x 0.59 inches) with a low weight of only 3.22 pounds which make it portable and easy to carry. The chassis is made of the environmentally friendly solid ABS and polycarbonate- PC. It is a very small laptop or netbook but still has a QWERTY keyboard just like a conventional full-size laptop. It comes with an original Windows 10 operating system license key and you can make use of the very friendly interface of Windows 10 and all the free apps that come with it.

Connectivity options include the 802.11bgn wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 port, a headphone/microphone combo, a micro HDMI port and a TF card port that allows a 256GB TF card. There is a 1.3MP front facing webcam on the top bezel and you can chat with friends on Skype or take still shots. The Atom  x5-Z8350 on this laptop is about 10% slower than the x5-Z8500 and is about the same as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. It has a typical Thermal Design Power of 4 watts and the 3.7V 5000mAh polymer battery should last around 7-8 hours in regular use.

10.1-inch display has the 800 x 1280 pixel resolution and IPS panel for large viewing angles. HD Graphics (Cherry Trail) is the built-in GPU on this laptop and will let you play only the older and not demanding games at reduced settings and resolutions. There is a built-in microphone and two speakers with enough power for a small netbook. In the package you’ll find the HBESTORE netbook, a charger, a mouse and a laptop protection case. Please do not expect to work on more complex software like Adobe Photoshop or play the demanding games. If you need a bit more power and performance, they will be releasing the 4GB and 64GB eMMC model soon, but will obviously be more expensive. It is suitable for use by kids, students, men and women at home or school.
